I love dates! They’re sweet, delicious and satisfy my sweet tooth. What better way to add them to your morning oatmeal, yogurt or even spread on some warm toast?
Anytime you want a sugary fix, whip up some date paste, it’s a great natural sweetener that’s quick and easy to make and tastes amazing!

Yields: 1 mason jar

  • 400g dried dates
  • 1 cup boiled water, slightly cooled
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Place dates in a bowl and cover with the water. Leave for around 1 hour. Place the dates and water along with cinnamon (optional) in a food processor or blender until a paste is formed.

Spoon into a mason jar and keep in the fridge. The date paste will keep for 1 week refrigerated or 1 month in the freezer.

  • Preparation time: 1 hour
